Today’s Estate building home is one of Rheinhessen’s largest vaulted brick cellars. 11 hectares of mainly Grand Cru vineyards in one of the most traditional wine growing regions of Germany. The choice of vineyards has been developed carefully by succeeding generations, adapting attentively to climatic changes and market trends, while taking into consideration the different characters of wines, that originate from the different types of soil.

Ruby red color, beautiful play of colours, cherry and raspberry-like flavours and aromas, a hint of oak from the barrique-barrel-ageing, well balanced, soft acidity and ripe finish.

Viticulture:
Natural cultivation following officially controlled measures (DLG). Reduced pruning, defoilage and green harvest. Very limited and strictly monitored use of fertilizers and chemicals. Yield of less than 3.500 liters per hectar.
Vinification:
Separation of the free-run for increased colour intensity and fruit extraction, Skin maceration and extended maceration time for approx. 2 weeks, no filtration.
Analysis: 13.00 % Alcohol - 0.8 g/l Sugar, 5.1 g/l Acidity
Recommendation:
Suits all dark meat, cheeses, crackers. As aperitif or with main courses.
