The Tate Family have been making award winning wines in Margaret River since 1974 and are proud to present the ‘Franklin Tate Estate’ range – unique, hand–crafted wines from the renowned Margaret River region. Franklin Tate Estate wines are all about a passion for wine making. We are blessed with our isolation, it means we can concentrate on our craft and our commitment to only making wine that is the ultimate expression of what our region does best. Most importantly, we are committed to only ever making wine that showcases what our region does well and being able to coax the best from our vineyard. Franklin spent several years looking for the best sites, with the best balance and diversity of soils, with the capability to reduce yield and concentrate flavours. Only the best grapes in each vineyard are considered for inclusion in our wines. Others simply don’t make the grade.

Appearance: Ruby red with violet hue.

 

Nose:  The fruit aromas are dominated by ripe red cherry and dark plum, with an attractive spicy lift. The oak has provided a light background with notes of vanilla and biscuit.

 

Palate:  This is a typical expression of Margaret River Shiraz with a spicy edge and soft cherry fruit. White pepper notes along with a dusty tannin structure and chocolaty oak notes are integrated through the fruit flavours. - creating a modern and vibrant style of red wine.
