Name: Châteauneuf du Pape
Estate:
Château Mont Thabor, a 17 th century building, belonged to the Marquis de Vaucroze.
Don Pernety, the fonder of the Visionaries’ secte of Avignon, who was in search of the philosopher’s stone, stayed there.
After a tumultuous past, the Château became a post house for carriages on road between Paris and Marseille.
In 1881, the Swiss family STEHELIN bought the estate to develop the vineyard.
Today it's 6 ha Côtes du Rhône and 4 ha Châteauneuf du Pape

Taste:
Rubis color, full bodied red wine depp in dark fruits and the freshness of the mint.
Tanins are well present but really smoth.

Terroir:
Soil is covered by the famous rounded pebbles of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Viticulture:
The 4 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape are situated on the plateau near La Crau.
Vines are cultivades with passion and great respect for the soil, with a organic approach.
Vinification:
The wine making is traditional in concrete tanks. The grapes are not destemmed (except for the Syrah). The fermentation lasts 3 to 4 weeks.
