VINEYARDS

The vineyards producing Jules Féraud Champagne Rosé are located in and around the village of Vincelles, in the Marne Valley, and cover 30 hectares of Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

TECHNICAL DATA

BLEND 57% Pinot Meunier, 19% Chardonnay, 4% Pinot Noir and 20% red Côteaux Champenois.

AGEING Left on the lees for a minimum of 15 months.

DOSAGE Brut, 7.6g of sugar per litre.

ORIGIN Marne Valley, village of Vincelles.

ALCOHOL 12.5%.

EXPOSURE South and North Exposure.

SOIL Rich & fertile, siliceous or clayey siliceous soils with limestone.

CLIMATE Mainly oceanic but also continental.

VINES 10-15 years old.

CULTURE Ecological, respect of the soil, sustainable viticulture.

WINE-MAKING

Pneumatic pressure in the hours immediately following the picking. Fermentation in controlled stainless steel vats to preserve both the fruit and the freshness. Malolactic fermentation completed.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: Pink colour. Generous mousse.

Nose: Powerful packed with aromas of red ripe fruits.

Palate: Concentration. Abundance of berry fruits.

Food Pairing: Intense aperitif. Best with oriental spicy cooking or strawberry tart.

Service: 6-8°C.

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
